The multi-layered structure of the membrane pockets is responsible for not allowing biomass to penetrate into the drainage layer even with a damaged membrane. The biomass built up in this way acts as a secondary filter layer and reliably retains biomass on the damaged surface.

Different applications require different membrane materials to ensure stability against cleaning chemicals, high flows, from low to very high solid loads, etc. In principle, any other flat sheet membrane can be used with our manufacturing process.
In addition the increase our product quality and to ensure durable impermeability of the membrane pocket edges even under the toughest of operating conditions, the edges of the membrane pockets are sealed in a subsequent work process. This further increases the stability of the UF-SBs by 15%. The barcode applied for quality assurance is protected by the seal wax and remains permanently readable. This also subsequently guarantees the quality control of all production steps
